Richard Michaud is a founding member and managing partner of the Michaud-Kinney Group (formerly the Michaud-Duffy Group), an international intellectual property law firm headquartered in Connecticut. He maintains a broad and busy intellectual property practice and has extensive experience in all aspects of intellectual property law including foreign and domestic patent preparation, prosecution and litigation. He is also experienced at trademark and copyright preparation, prosecution and litigation as well as in negotiating and drafting intellectual property licenses. Prior to entering this field, Rick was a senior design engineer at Dorr Oliver, Incorporated, where he designed and developed industrial centrifuges and process equipment. He is a popular lecturer on intellectual property topics. Rick is especially well-versed at counseling business executives and in-house counsel at both large and small corporations. Through his years of practice, Rick has also developed a diverse international clientele.
